Each kit contains fun items such as balls, skipping ropes, rubber chickens, a parachute & more! There's an activity booklet included in each one, as well as 2 picture books that will get you moving as you read together. The kits are designed to increase physical literacy and to make it easy for you to be active.

Each kit may be checked out for 1 week. All you need is your valid CPL library card!

150 Books of Influence

150 Books of Influence will be a compilation of 150 books that Nova Scotians feel have somehow influenced or defined them. The titles on the list will be those books that have captured Nova Scotians’ hearts and minds; books that tell Nova Scotia’s stories and inspire its citizens.

Nova Scotians can nominate books for the 150 Books of Influence through this website as well as at Nova Scotia’s public libraries. The nominated books can include children, youth and adult titles; fiction and non-fiction; scholarly texts; books of diversity; books in French, Gaelic, Mi’kmaq and/or English; and current and historical titles…any book by a Nova Scotian author and/or about Nova Scotia that you feel define Nova Scotia for you.
